Sharon Brown, MS, CPC

Sharon Brown, MS, CPC “I have a passion for working with people who want to create powerful changes in their personal or professional lives, communities or organizations.” Sharon’s compassion, intuition, and creativity provide nurturing support as people explore what’s possible and strategize how to get there. “I love watching people re-connect with their aliveness, passion, power and dreams. I enjoy supporting them as they make life-affirming choices and create the changes they desire!”

Sharon designs and facilitates experiential workshops for community and professional organizations that catalyze insight, action and transformation. Her work within organizations contributes to improved team dynamics and organizational effectiveness “I especially enjoy working with new teams during the “storming” phase of team development where I can support their growth into cohesive and highly performing teams.” As a coach interested in interpersonal dynamics and diversity, Sharon is writing a multicultural coaching curriculum.

A professional coach since 2007, Sharon knows she has found her passion. “I have a sense of coming home to whom I was truly meant to be. I gain so much joy from working with people and groups. It is a privilege to support them as they work to achieve their goals!” In her coaching, Sharon draws on over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry where she managed global and local projects and teams.

In addition to her work in the corporate sector, Sharon is committed to demonstrating the value of coaching for building strong, successful individuals, families and communities in inner cities and to bringing coaching services to people who have not traditionally had the economic means to access them. Sharon’s dedication to inner city communities spills over into her personal life where she mentors teens and youth, is an Alternatives to Violence Project prison volunteer, and has served on non-profit boards focused on community development. “I believe in the power of coaching to transform lives, organizations and communities. I want to contribute to community change and improving life circumstances for people in our urban cities.”

In her spare time Sharon loves to read, spend time in nature and hang out with family and friends. “I also have a growing interest in and reverence for indigenous wisdom and healing traditions.”

Sharon is a Certified Professional Coach and a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF). She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Swarthmore College and a Masters of Science degree from Rutgers University.
