Mary came to coaching after a successful career in marketing. After just one session at Leadership that Works, she knew that coaching was her calling. She continues to witness the transformation she experienced herself in her coaching and coach training work. “Over and again, participants in our classes have experienced a tangible shift in the way they see themselves and others around them. They see their own magnificence and gain a level of self-trust, courage and unconditional high regard for others that they hadn’t experienced before.”
In addition to leading courses for Leadership that Works, Mary is a leadership coach in the Omidyar Fellows program in Hawaii, working with emerging leaders in the government, for-profit and non-profit sectors who are tackling tough problems in the state and around the globe. She supports leadership in all its forms. “I believe we are all born with talent and wisdom that is needed in the world. No one is excluded from this. My work as a coach is to help people remember who they are and why they are here; to help people find the inherent goodness and power in themselves and their communities.
Mary holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University. She calls Hawaii home, where she is a student of Hawaiian culture. She also enjoys swimming and snorkeling in the ocean, often encountering creatures who live there while confronting her vast love and respect of the water.
