Michael Wise, MPH, PCC

“The common threads that brought me most alive in all my different jobs were the moments where I got to help someone really step into their power and own their unique voice and talents. These moments happened daily when checking in with youth at the programs where I worked and with staff that I supervised. I had been doing a basic version of coaching in my work long before I had the language to call it that. When I first heard about coaching, something fell into deep alignment for me, and I knew I needed to become a certified coach. I had seen firsthand that when safe spaces are created for people to shed their protective layers, integrate all their identities and connect with their unique gifts, it is truly transformational. I didn’t know that coaching was one of the best tools to support that process, but once I showed up for the first training class I knew I had found what I was meant to do.”

Michael has partnered with individuals and communities to identify and creatively address their needs for over 20 years. He’s been a counselor for LGBTQ teens, a community health educator, a program director at a large nonprofit, a professional coach and a coach trainer.
